Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Response: A time I felt connected to nature was during a summer in elementary school as I was outside while the sun was setting. I could start to see the glowing lights of fireflies. Following the fireflies in every direction I could it made me reflect on how beautiful nature can be . This made me feel a sense of connection with nature as I appreciated it's beauty all around me.

Summary: We learned and went over a overview of American literature specifically Native American literature speaking on myths, their values, and theme.

Reflection: I learned some of the characteristics of origin myths.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
