Write about a dream that felt real.

Prompt response: A time where a dream felt real was when I was dreaming about snow. In my dream I woke up to a snowy day with everything covered in show outside. It felt real as I built snowman's in the dream and had a snowball fight. Even though I was dreaming it was as if I could feel the snow in my hands before abruptly waking up the next morning.

Summary:  In class we worked on vocabulary. We first had to write the vocab with the definitions in our notebook. Then, we had to write a sentence using each vocab word. After that we worked on an assignment on NEWSEla. After that we had time to complete our blog post.

Reflection: I made sure to use the vocab words right when writing sentences. I also learned some new vocab that I can apply to my daily life. When reading the passage online I made connections to things I've witnessed about cancel culture.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
