Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response:  One time is when I had to rely on my friend to ask our manager about the work hours. She knew that I was not satisfied with the management and went ahead asking them for me during one of her shifts. It was greatly appreciated as they were able to identify the problem and give me more hours. Even though the reason seemed questionable as my availability has been set my friend knew and asked on my behalf making me feel heard and acknowledge.

Summary:  During the class period we went over more rhetorical devices. We completed at least once exercise for each one as well as create and come up with examples. After that we had time in class to complete the blog post.

Reflection: The simile device was familiar but I wasn't familiarized that using the word "so" for a simile could be used more common. The lesson was easy to understand and each one I can use in my daily life.

What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
