In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

Prompt Response: A time when I had to respect an boundary with a friend was when she wanted time by herself to regulate her feelings and did not want anyone comforting her nor hugging her. I had to respect this boundary has different people repond to emotional weight differently. It helped us connect as I now know what she needs and can better help her.

Summary: During the class period we completed the common lit which was based on Roberts Frost "Mending Wall". After that we had class time to finish any work and the blog for today.

Reflection: I finished the questions that went with the common lit and had to reflect on the poem to answer the open response ones.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
