Prompt: Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

Prompt Response: A time when I realized I needed to look out for myself in a harmless situation was when I heard a  friend say something very weird and off putting. This made me decide internally to distance myself from them as I was not that close personally to them in the first place. I saved myself as I knew I could not hang out with a person who finds humor in saying such werid and off putting things that scream disrespect.
Summary: Absent.
Reflection: This situation was harmless as there was no fighting involved as they did not even notice. I know that we would not be compatible.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
