Write about the best gift you have received.

prompt response: The best gift I have ever received was a hand made card that was made by my friend for my 16th birthday. The card was an inside joke and it was really fun seeing it for the first time as it had one of my favorite characters on it. She also made a separate card that had one of my favorites albums as the cover. It was very cute and decorated with small flowers. I really enjoyed this gift as It showed much thought behind it.

Summary: During class we went over what our final was as well as saw the poems each student was assigned. After that we did vocab work in the book and had time to comeplete the blog post.

Reflection: The final project seems fun to complete. The poem I was assigned was interesting and was a written by Emily Dickinson

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
