Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response: I feel the most at peace in my room. My room is my comfort space as I craft it around myself and my interest. I have the freedom to completely express myself in my room through decor, posters, books, and Legos without being bothered from outside input. In my room I am allowed to take random dance breaks and listen to music.

Summary: Today in class we went over some more rhetorical devices. Most of these devices I already recognized/ knew. We went over metaphors, analogy, and using simile with the word so. We practice with the exercises for each one and turned the paper in.

Reflection: The practice was easier as a class. I got to think about my word choice and practice writing analogies which I don't often use.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
