Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school.  Prompt Response: While on break I mostly rested by staying in the house. I also worked on the break and hanged out with friend. I went over to hang out with friends to play basketball and play group games. During break I got ahead in summer applications for programs and cleaned.

Summary: During the class period we read a poem by Maya Angelou for black history month. After that we got a sheet with a metaphor and simile side. We as a group at our tables had to identify each. Then we explained what each one meant. At the end as a class we went over our answers and had a open discussed.

Reflection: The poem was interesting to read. The video of her was also interesting learning that Maya Angelou was a dance and worked operating a bus. The poem showed that she was not afraid to express herself.
