When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response: Some strategies that I use when I am in a mood is to first remove myself from whatever situation I am in. I do this so I can fully take a break and have a mental pause to assess what is making me irritated. As well as to ask myself why is this thing affecting me so much. Another strategy that I do is just to move in a quiet space and breath.

Summary: During the class period we completed a NewsELA . After that we had time to complete any missing work or our blogs.

Reflection: During the class period I was able to get a lot of work done. The class was assigned the NewsELA. I do not often get into moods unless it is something I care deeply about.

tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.
