Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Prompt Response: In the past during research I used more generic terms related to my topics that were assigned. When researching I did not take the time to go into more detail. Creating more specific detailed search phrases help more as it narrow downs the options that pop up compared to just googling. It makes me more focused on my topic targeting the specific prompt inside of slightly providing an idea. This will improve the quality of my research as my audience will be able to get a clear understanding of the topic that I am targeting.

Summary: During the class period we completed the assigned common lit.

Reflection: The common lit was an do able assignment. It focused on the world of hollywood and the American dream attached to it. The research process maybe hard since there were a lot of options that popped up and choosing between which time. When narrowing down between our groups we will have to be even more narrow.
